I've been blocked and the word we normally use to describe that kind of behavior is censorship. But I'm going to write a response on my own site. And those people who are not in favor of censorship can go there. And those in favor will discover they are safe from my words if they stay in that forum. While they may be safe from my words, my words do not cause human immmunodeficiency virus or acquired immune deficiency syndrome. Subject: TOGETHER, now, get tested for A VARIETY of sexually transmitted diseases.
Testing for A VARIETY of sexually transmitted diseases now will give you the information. Both you and the guy can get tested TOGETHER. If testing detects nothing you'll have a benchmark. When you test again if test results change a benchmark will be good information for optimal treatment.

Subject: Ambiguity. Denial. We can stop the spread of the epidemic of sexually transmitted infections.

Do you know anybody who died or got sick from human immunodeficiency virus or other sexually transmitted diseases? There are too many dead gay men for whom it was reality. There are too many sick gay men for whom it is reality. If you're forthcoming about the topic there's going to be denial and the perceiving of it a heavy handed matter. On the other hand accepting the challenge does stimulate the little grey cells. Being upfront signifies concern for our community, reducing ambiguity between sex partners. The strategy of let's get tested TOGETHER BEFORE we have sex for A VARIETY of sexually transmitted infections is less heavy handed than dying or getting sick.

"It Might" and "but most" leaves ambiguity. Exposures to infections can happen from any, not only the last sexual contact. Testing does no harm. Delaying testing delays detecting infections, so early treatment is delayed and continue the spread of infections in our community.

Thank you! I looked up several of the words to read how ambiguity is differentiated from certainty.

It's a matter of optimal sexual health. By getting tested now a benchmark establishes a better idea of when exposure occurred even if nothing is detected at this point in time. Regular testing doesn't work because when infections are detected it's too late for sex partners who got exposed before the next regular testing. You would have to know the date the exposure occurred. You would have to know the latency of what sexually transmitted infections you're testing. Not all STDs have the same latencies. If you needed a blood transfusion would you wait until the next regular testing or would you want blood tested before being transfused?

Not a moral imperative, a medical imperative. If somebody repeats the same question that has the same answer I gave the same answer. It's a best medical practices imperative on the order of wash your hands before dealing with a patient, test blood before a transfusion, get tested for tuberculosis before entering a classroom.

You could see that depending on your point of view about testing. Or you could see it as responding to the same frequently asked questions.

All of which is good because one could make the case that a similar thing happened to Joseph Lister in his place and time. And again I don't cause acquired immune deficiency syndrome or human immunodeficiency virus.

Do you know any other people about whom others have said such things? Maybe somebody very close to you you know better than anybody else? As advocates for fairness it's a good idea to practice fairness.

It's not a benchmark until BOTH sex partners get or he get his test results.

After getting tested then there's a benchmark. Before getting tested you don't know your test results.

Epidemic STDs are why we have free testing.

How do you know which exposure?... How do you know when?...

That's a myth used to delay getting tested. If that meant anything the blood supply would not be safe for people needing transfusions. Having any STD taxes the immune system and increases the risk when exposed to another infection.

Even if that were the case, getting tested now will be optimal for treatment for any subsequent infections because the information pins down a span of time. It's a benchmark.

The difficulty is that people do not just do one thing and stop. Before and during you don't know what can happen. Using a chart showing modules of sexual practices is another myth used to delay getting tested. During sex the heart beats faster. The mind numbs. Our full powers of observation and ability to remember afterward are not at hand.

Now if you have any small cuts anywhere (or you stuck your messy fingers right in your mouth) which may have come in contact with "the mess", then I would be concerned. It might be prudent to have a test for parasitic/bacterial infections as all kinds of weird stuff lives in the "mess" which is meant to only leave the body and go back in (or else it does lots of bad stuff). Think of it this way: You don't have anything bad going down, you're good to snag another (presumably) cute boy; You do have something, the worst that happens is you have to take some anti-biotics to get rid of the worm.

Boston's First Sopher

In the early 1880's, there arrived in Boston the Saklad family from
Slonim, headed by their father, Abraham Isaac Saklad.

In the old country, he had been known as the
SLONIMER SOPHER.

With the influx of new immigrants to these shores, there was created a
need for additional Mezuzoth, Tefillin, Arba Kanforth and
Sefer Torahs.

Abraham Isaac Saklad set to work.

He made his own Tzitzith from the raw wool and his sons would bind
them, according to the Law, in corners of Tallesim or prayer shawls
and Arba Kanfoth.

He made his own special ink for parmet (parchment) engraving and hand
printing.

This was a long drawn out affair, which meant the mixing and grinding
of several natural elements into a black powder, then adding a
certain liquid to turn the mixture into a special type of
"Sefershe Tint", or scribe's ink.

He made his own writing pens from the quills or wing feathers of
geese, turkeys and ducks, making different sizes for different uses,
depending upon whether it was for a Mezuzah or for larger parchments.

In those days, the monetary gain, for this type of vocation was very
small and to earn an income sufficient to provide food for a large
family he had to work into the wee hours of the morning.

Being a scribe and with an artistic inclination, Abraham Isaac Saklad
tempered some steel umbrella rods into trade tools, made a mallet
from apple wood and thus started the first Jewish monument
establishment in New England, in 1885.

Marble and slate were the chief materials used in monument work in
those days.

His clientele extended all through the Eastern states.

His handiwork and workmanship in the memorial field is still a living
example of the skill of the pioneer builders of old Boston and an
enduring sight of the beauty of hand carving in cemeteries and
synagogues from Maine to Connecticut.

His TEN COMMANDMENTS, carved in wood and stone, have been copied
many times over and are preserved as museum work.

He gained world renown by engraving the TEN COMMANDMENTS on the
head of a large common pin.

In 1892 he started to carry out his life long ambition to write his
own Sefer Torah.

This was a laborious, tedious, nightly undertaking by gas light in a
back room of his home on Lowell street in the old West End.

He produced the first Sefer Torah written in Boston, possibly in
America, plus three Megilloth Esther to his intense pride and joy.

By this time, his eldest son was given Simcha by old
Rabbi M. Z. Margolies of the North End.

This son, Rabbi Joshua B. Saklad of Newburyport, Massachusetts, read
from the very Torah transcribed by the hand of his father, the word
of God given to Moses.

Abraham Isaac Saklad also founded the first Hebrew speaking school
in Boston at 75 Leverett Street.

Patterned on this little school, many similar ones were started in
other communities.

After having established his family here in America, Abraham Isaac
Saklad went to Israel in 1906.

While there he wrote in Yiddish verse an "Ethical Will" to his
descendants.

This was received in this country by one of his sons,
Jacob Gershon Saklad, in November, 1908.

Copies of the translation were printed later to be distributed among
the descendants of Abraham Isaac Saklad on the occasion of the
Bar Mitzvah of his great grandson, Michael Arthur Saklad, on
June 11, 1954, at Providence Rhode Island.

Abraham Isaac Saklad eventually returned to Boston where he died in
1909, leaving behind a good name and some wonderful specimens of his
handiwork.

His finest work was the first hand written Sefar Torah, which is now
in Temple Beth El, Fowler Street, Dorchester.

It was given by members of the Saklad family for safe keeping and to
be read in the manner of Israel.

This Torah is a living example of his patience, for his heart was set
on the principle "AM YISROEL HAI" -- Israel will live.

In every generation there are foes who try to extinguish the Jewish
nation but saints like Abraham Isaac Saklad redeem the nation.

Their work lives on.

Builders like him will never be forgotten.

THEATER

Miss Price John Kuntz has been cooking up eccentric solo scenery
meals for himself for years, compendiums of weirdos like the guy
who's not comfortable unless he's sitting in powdered sugar, and
the retiree from Smurfs on Ice.

Now, however, he's written a one-woman work for his good friend
Paula Plum, and she doesn't have to sit in sugar or even chat with
a serial killer -- as she did in Sing Me to Sleep, which Kuntz
wrote for the two of them.

The name of the new show is Miss Price -- though the title
character isn't in it -- and it opens tonight.

Plum plays a small-town middle-aged librarian named Eleanor; Miss
Price is a lesbian on the rebound who is hired to assist her and
who, as the Music Man did Eleanor's bookish stage predecessor
Marian, loosens her up.

The play's about friendship, though, not gay love --
and there are no trombones.

Eric C. Engel directs and, with Plum,
wears the producer's hat as well.
